Mission: S1E1: Restructuring
Location: Corridor, Roosevelt Station
Timeline: MD01 1200h

Kitara slung a ruck further over her shoulder as she followed the throngs of people exiting the airlock. She had never been on a Nor Class Station. There was something oddly impressive about it to her.

The news that she'd been assigned to Roosevelt Station had only come two weeks prior. The young Bajoran woman had taken the opportunity to take quick leave before she had to report. Nothing special, just a quick stay on Earth, a few sights. She almost missed the ship taking her to the station. She'd never have forgiven herself if she'd missed this opportunity.

Lieutenant Cenn held her rucksack tight as she navigated the crowd. Without warning she came face to face with a woman in green, narrowly avoiding running into her. "Watch out." She said the suddenly her eyes drifted to the woman's collar. Brigadier General Kitara's eyes bulged as she added. "Ma'am. "

She stopped and looked at the women in teal uniform, "Lieutenant." Leah stated as she studied her. She remembered in her crew assignment there was a Chief Medical Officer that was due to arrive today and is a Bajoran. "You must be my new Chief Medical Officer," Leah stated looking at her.

“Yes, ma’am.” Cenn nodded, still mortified for having almost run into her new CO, then being rude after the near miss. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” She said.

"Likewise Lieutenant, care to join me for lunch? I am heading to the Promenade I hear the Skyline Lounge has some pretty good food." Leah asked looking at her.

Kitara nodded. “ I’m not hungry but I will accompany you.” The Doctor made sure to stand straight.

She chuckled a bit, "You don't have to be so formal, relax." Leah said with a smile as they walked towards the Promenade. Once they arrived she looked around to see it buzzing with activity. She had seen the Lounge over on her right and walked towards it. Once they entered they both took a seat.

The Lieutenant set her bag next to the table on the floor and folded her hands before her on the table. “Nice place.” She said.

"It is," Leah said as Sara walked over, "Welcome to the Skyline Lounge General, Lieutenant I am Sara Moore owner of this establishment." Sara said with a smile, "What can I get for you today?" Sara asked.

"Oh," she stated as she looked at the menu. "I'll have your special," Leah said as she looked back up. "With a small glass of wine," Leah added with a smile. Sara nodded then turned back to the Lieutenant. "What would you like?" Sara asked.

“ I don’t suppose you have Kanar?” The Doctor asked with a smile. “It’s been a long trip,” she added.

"You bet I do," Sara smiled as she walked off to place their order. She sat there and studied the women in front of her. There seemed to be something off about her but she couldn't quite pinpoint it. "So tell me about yourself, Lieutenant," Leah asked.

Kitara searched the Woman’s face. “Nothing much to tell ma’am. I joined the Militia, and now I’m here in a Starfleet.” She smiled meekly.

"I see," she said as she raised an eyebrow. Just as her food arrived as well as Kitara's drink. She took a bite, "This is good." she stated to no one in particular.

The Doctor observed the Brigadier General eating for a brief moment and the cautiously sipped her Kanar. She sighed a sigh of relief as the Arcadian drink went down as smooth as any she’d ever drank in her life.

After a few moments of silence, she looked back at the Doctor, "How was your drink?" She said as she just finished her meal.

“It’s good.” The Bajoran Doctor said with a slight smile. She was feeling much more at ease now. “ I’m glad I found you today, I’m eager to get into things.”

She nodded, "Thank you for your company." Leah stated as she stood up she had to finish up some things. "Well, I am sure you will want to get settled in and get used to the station." Leah said looking at her.

Kitara stood as well, “ Thank You Ma’am. I ummm... I will see you soon.”

Leah nodded to the young Lieutenant as she walked out of the Skyline Lounge and headed back to Operations. There were a few things that she needed to take care of.

Doctor Cenn picked up her tuck and followed Leah at a reasonable distance from the restaurant. She took a deep breath and crossed the crowded Promenade to find her Infirmary.
