Mission: S1E1: Restructuring
Location: Operations
Timeline: MD01 1100h

After she had gotten settled in her room Sara had headed to check out the Security hub. For an old ship, she was in great shape. Looked like a new coat of paint had been slapped on for the crew change that was taking place. Once she felt like she had a good start on her office Sara decided it was time to meet the boss. She made her way to the heart and soul of the ship, The Operations Hub.

As she walked in she saw people all over working hard doing varied jobs from coordinating incoming ships to sector scans to power allotment. Over on the one side of the room, Sara saw the unmistakable green collar of the CO. As she walked up. "Morning General, Major Mattis officially reporting."

She looked up to see the Major, "Good morning Major. Welcome aboard Roosevelt station. Care to come to my office so we can talk?" Leah asked with a smile.

"Thank you, Ma'am. That would be great." She replied following the General to her office. Some of the butterflies were slipping away now that she had met the General.

They entered her office and she motioned for the Major to have a seat, "So what brings you to Roosevelt Station?" She asked looking at her as she sat down.

Sara had thought that the general should have known why she was here but maybe she has been busy. "Well Ma'am I am your new Chief of Security and Tactical." She said with a smile.

She looked at her and smiled, "I see." Leah said as she was expecting a different answer. "So tell me about yourself?" She asked looking at her.

"Well ma'am, born and raised in Georgia and come from a long line of marines. It was natural I followed the family line and put on the green. After I graduated from the academy I spent the last 8 years embedded in an Intelligence operations team. Recently was reassigned here as it was time for me to rotate out." She said giving a brief snapshot of her history.

"I know how that is, but unfortunately I am the first in my family to even enroll in Starfleet." Leah stated, "My mother is a farmer back on Bajor and well my father died in the occupation when I was very young." Leah said with a sigh.

"Sorry to hear that ma'am." She said solemnly. "I just wanted to say it is a real honor to serve under your command, General."

"He died fighting in the occupation and our freedom, he is my hero." Leah said with a smile, "Thank you, Major." Leah said as she smiled at her last statement. "Well, you should go check in with your staff and get acquainted with the station. I don't have anything pressing at the moment for you." Leah said with a smile.

"Yes, ma'am. I plan to check in with the XO while I am here as well." Sara said as she stood to leave.

She nodded, "Again welcome to Roosevelt Station, Dismissed." Leah stated with a smile as she watched her leave her office and she sat down to finish going over reports.
