Mission: S1E1: Restructuring
Location: XO Office
Timeline: MD01 1130h

After sara had meet the stations boss she figured it would be best protocal to meet with its XO as well. On a base this big she would probably have many more run ins with the XO any way. She made her way to the XO's office and pressed the door bell.

Commander Tullos sipped his beverage and continued to read through the security roster, when his concentration was broken by the bell "Enter" he said with a curious tone.

Sara walked in to the room and saw the Andorian on the other side of the table. "Greetings Commander, I wanted to come and introduce myself. I am Major Mattis the base chief of Security and Tactical."

"Ah yes" Tullos said standing from his chair "welcome aboard Major" the Commander gave a nod and never changed the almost expressionless look on his face. "Please have a seat" he said gesturing toward a chair and taking his seat.

"Thank you, Sir. I don't want to take up to much of your time. I just wanted to check in with you." She said as she took a seat.

"I assure you Major it's no trouble at all" he offered a half smile "how are you settling in thus far?" he asked the Human that sat across from him.

"It has gone well. I have been to my quarters and then to my office before stopping in to see the General and now you." She liked that the Andorian had smiled. Can be a rarity to find.

"The station is impressive" he said leaning forward slightly "have you taken time to review your department roster and duty assignments?" the Commander asked, he took security very seriously, although he thought the Major could handle things.

"I have and am hoping to have a majority of the transferred staff in place very soon." She replied. "Once I have all the key pieces I plan a departmental meeting to give out shift assignments." She kept the conversation straight and to the point.

"Sounds like an acceptable plan" he laced his fingers together "would you mind if I joined a drill or two sometime?" he asked his antenna and eyebrows perking up "I wouldn't want to get rusty, after."

"No Sir, not at all. I plan on all senior staff to take part in periodic training and active boarding training." She replied. "I want to make sure that if the proverbial shit hit the fan everyone can defend the station."

His antenna perked up with the word he wasn't used to hearing. Of course he wasn't used to serving with Marines either, but he could appreciate that the Major was going to keep everyone on their toes. He raised an eyebrow and leaned forward "I'm looking forward to it Major" the Commander said, actually looking forward to intensive training. Being prepared was important when it came to the protection of the Federation and it's citizens.

"Any immediate concerns you have for me or my department?" Sara inquired. Looking forward to hit the ground running.

"Not at this time" he said making eye contact "I'm sure you have everything under control."

"Thank you sir." She said as she acknowledged the XO before turning and leaving the office. 'That went better then expected.' She thought as she left.
